Obituary of Robert Frome Rapp

Derry, Robert Frome "Byron" Rapp, age 54 of Derry, PA, died unexpectedly Sunday (9/13/15) at his home. Mr. Rapp was born November 2, 1960 in Coral Gables, FL, the son of Bonita Greene Glick of Lake Lure, NC. He attended the congregation of Temple Emanu-El of Greensburg. Byron was a graduate of Hempfield High School. He was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia with Dyslexia, but overcame his disabilities to become a wonderful person. His neighbors and friends called him "Professor" because he always managed to solve all of their problems. A highly intelligent man, Byron was a wonderful individual who could not pass a dontaion canister without putting money in, usually all that he had in his pocket. Byron is survived by his mother, Bonita "Bonnie" Greene Glick , his half-sister, Hillary Rapp of Philadelphia, his adopted father, Fred Sollars, his aunt, Judith Forbes, and cousins; Kin Cohen, Merit Cohen, and Dylan Cohen. Family and friends will be received Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:30PM, the time of Byron's funeral service at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, with Rabbi Sara Perman officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
