Obituary of Darlene F. Black

Mount Pleasant, Darlene F. Black, age 73 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (9/27/15) at Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Black was born May 1, 1942 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late Daisy Foreman. Darlene was a talented seamstress, not only for her family and friends, but she donated her time making clothing for premature infants. She was the family "go to person" for anything. Darlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving family: her husband of 55 years, Earl L. Black, her children, Pamela J. Cochran and her husband James, and Brian K. Black and his wife Kim, all of Mt. Pleasant, her beloved grandchildren; Lucas Swank, Alysia Swank, Jamie Cochran, Zac Black and Taylor Black, and her great grandsons, Cameron and Huxton. Darlene is also survived by her twin sister, Arlene Thompson of Croydon, PA, and her beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Darlene was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Foreman. As per the wishes of the family, there will be no hours of public visitation. Inurnment will be private.
