Obituary of David P. Lobingier

Mount Pleasant, David P. Lobingier, age 69 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (03/16/16) at the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Lobingier was born February 5, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Frank and Madalyn "Mannie" Benedict Lobingier Kantorik. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Dave was a 1965 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. He was the owner of Lobingier's Resturant for more than 40 years. Dave was a member of the Assunta Club and numerous social and fraternal organizations in the area. He umpired games for girls softball and baseball for 25 years, and coached Tee Ball, Little League and Pony League and Legion Baseball. It was very well known that Dave was an avid Chicago CUBS Fan. All you had to do was walk into "Dave's" for a Pizza. All of the pictures, autographs and memorabilia were of the Cubs. He could always be found standing at the end of the bar, greeting all of his patrons who also became his friends. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Dave is survived by his loving family, his wife of 47 years, Maureen Manjerovic Lobingier, his beloved sons, David N. Lobingier of Mt. Pleasant and Douglas A. Lobingier and his wife Lenita of Powell, Wyoming, and by his beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Isabelle Lobingier. Dave is also survived by his brother, Frank J. Lobingier, Jr., his mother in law, Helen Manjerovic, his sisters and brothers in law; Susan Lobingier, Ellie Lobingier, Nicholas Manjerovic and Mary, Richard Manjerovic and Mary Kay, Thomas Manjerovic, and Robert Manjerovic, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Peter Lobingier. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by Dave's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday @3PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Little League,MPALL, P.O. Box 505, Mt. Pleasant, in memory of David Lobingier.
