Obituary of Margaret Ann (Rose) Snyder

Margaret Ann (Rose) Snyder, age 85 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died peacefully, Sunday (04/9/2017) at her home. Mrs. Snyder was born March 29, 1932 in Bakerton, PA, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Rozelle Rose. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at the Harmon House Convalescent Center. Margie enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime however, was spending time with her family; her brothers and sisters, but especially with her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, who were her crown jewels. Margaret had a huge heart and enjoyed doing for those who were less fortunate. She enjoyed life, and loved to have fun. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Diane Utzler and her husband, Ronald of Medina, OH, Darlene Robinson and her husband, William of Hudson, OH, Richard J. Snyder and his wife Mary, Brenda Gaudiano, and Cecelia "Cissy" Govern and her husband, James, all of Mt. Pleasant. She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren: Jeffrey Utzler, Jaclyn Matar, Diana Ludwig, Terrance Ludwig, Jr., Jeffrey Robinson, Susan Wells, Donna Pannier, Deann Snyder, Jack Snyder, Richard Snyder, Raquel Polakovsky, Maria Gaudiano, Sarah Govern, and Michael Govern, and by her precious great grandchildren: Victoria, Hunter, Tyler, Maddie, Morgan, Bennett, Jonah, Kaelyn, Kendyl, and Cole. Margie is also survived by her devoted sisters and brothers: Mary Jane Crossland, Dominick Rose, Charles Rose, and Henry Rose (Maureen) all of Mt. Pleasant, and Theresa Cosgrove (Jack) of Irwin, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Jackson Snyder in 1985, her grandson, Kristopher Utzler, and by her son in law, Terrance Ludwig, and her brothers and sister, Louis and Richard Rose and Cecelia Crossland. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Wednesday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Memory of Margaret Snyder.
