Obituary of Margaret E. McIndoe

 Margaret E. "Peggy" (Macdonald) McIndoe, age 95 of Mt. Pleasant, PA, died Friday, June 30, 2017 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, PA.

Mrs. McIndoe was born May 10, 1922 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Archie and Vera McCleary Macdonald. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. Peggy was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed for many years at Williamhouse. She had also worked for the former Gunsallus and Armor Pharmacy, and at the Hallmark Store, both in Mt. Pleasant. Peggy was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, and loved her cats, but her most cherished times were those spent with her family.

She is survived by her loving family: her son, Douglas L. McIndoe and his wife Barbara of Connellsville, her daughter in law, Sharon McIndoe of Penn Hills, her beloved grandchildren; Laurie Zappone and Michael of Pittsburgh, Courtney McIndoe of Charleston, SC, and Douglas P. McIndoe of Connellsville, and by her great grandchildren; Caroline, Meredith and Michael Zappone. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. McIndoe, Jr. in 1990, her son, Harry R. "Scotty" McIndoe in 2012, and by her brothers; Edward and Eugene Macdonald.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.

Funeral Services for Peggy will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home., with the Rev. Robert Allison officiating.
