Obituary of Donald H Bogdanski
Donald H. Bogdanski, age 89 of Pittsburgh, died Tuesday October 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 23, 1928 in Livermore, Indiana County, PA. He was a son of the late John and Anne Skalny Bogdanski. Mr. Bogdanski was a self employed carpet Installer. Later in life he worked and retired from the Carpenters Union #1759. Donald had also served the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 60 years, Patricia L. Maytea, whom he married June 1, 1957, His beloved children: his son; Jeffrey Bogdanski of Pittsburgh. His daughters: Lorie Bogdanski Mutschler and her husband Tom of Belle Vernon, Dana Bogdanski Weaver and her husband Barry of Volant, and Donna Bogdanski Ferguson and her husband William of Apollo. Don is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Chris Caruso of Mt. Pleasant, Camille Marie Caruso Miele and her husband Danny of Norvelt, Ryan Weaver and his wife Amy of Tarentum, Nathan, Abbey, and Hannah Weaver of Volant, Natalie Diltz and her husband Travis of Dayton Ohio, Nicole Peters and her husband Philip of Virginia Beach, Claire Stewart and her husband Jonathan of Pittsburgh, and Ben Mutschler of Greensburg. His beloved great grandchildren: Vaida Louise, Grace, Isaac, Hannah, AJ, Derek, and Gabe. Don is also survived by his brother and sister: Evelyn Grady of Norton, OH, Albert Bogdanski of Richfied, OH. His sister in law: Mary Jo Bogdanski of Medina, OH. Don was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Paul, William, Ralph, Lawrence, Frank, Leo and Lester Bogdanski, and Mary, Julia, and Blanche.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2 until 5 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. In lieu of flowers Donald’s family suggests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
