Obituary of Raymond S. Bann, II

 Raymond S. Bann II, age 61 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly Thursday (11/30/2017) in the Excela Health-Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA.

Mr. Bann was born November 7, 1956 in Greensburg, PA, the son of the late Raymond and Mary Grec Bann. He was a 1974 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, and received his Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Ray was employed by the Walmart Corporation as an assistant manager. He previously had worked for the Eat N Park Restaurant for more than 21 years. Ray was a life member of the Norvelt Volunteer Fire Department, and Westmoreland Homesteaders. He had served for 8 years on the Mt. Pleasant School Board. Ray had also coached Midget Football for the Norvelt Colts, and was an officer with the Wrestling Parents for over 8 years. Ray was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who dearly loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving family: his devoted wife of 39 years, Donna Renee Chenoweth Bann, his sons; Raymond S. Bann III and his wife Stephanie of Scottdale, and Ryan M. Bann and his wife Melissa of Mt. Pleasant, and by his beloved grandchildren; Peyton, Maddox, Teigen, Madison and Morgan Bann. He is also survived by his brothers and sister: Joseph Bann of State College and James Bann and his wife Richele of Erie and Mary Ann Bann of Mt. Pleasant.  Ray is also survived by his Father in law, Carroll Chenoweth of Mt. Pleasant , his Mother in law, Nancy Martin of TX , and by his brother in law, James Chenoweth and his wife Cristy of Youngwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 until 8 PM. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home , 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.

 Ray's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, PA with the Rev. Teodoro A. Cortezano as celebrant. (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH)

Private Inurnment will be in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 3PM.
