Obituary of Arthur Tate

Arthur Tate, 75 of Panama died March 16, 2018 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Mr. Tate was born on August 28, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the son of Albert and Nellie Vincennes Tate (Teti). Art was raised in Mount Pleasant and immediately upon graduating from Ramsay High School in 1961, enlisted in the US Army. Art served in numerous assignments throughout his 30-year career achieving the rank of Sergeant Major. He lived in Panama after his retirement, working for the US Government, retiring in 2000. Art was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Yolanda Tate , his son Arthur Jr, his daughter, Johanna Nellie and grandsons ,Alec and James. Art was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and William and by his sister, Marie Rolewitz. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Art, April 14th at 1:30 PM at the St Pius X Cemetery Chapel, Mount Pleasant, PA.
