Obituary of George Anthony DePasquale

George Anthony DePasquale Sr., age 88 of Acme, PA, died Tuesday (7/10/2018) at Excela Heath- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Mr. DePasquale was born December 8, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Michael and  Eleonora Ciarlanti DePasquale.  He attended St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.   George operated a Barbershop in Old Bethpage, New York for over 30 years with his brother Cosmo. George had many varied interests; he was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hiking, fishing and hunting and was an excellent cook who made many wonderful dishes. It can never been proven, but it is believed he set the world’s record for the most coffee consumed in one lifetime. He was a great storyteller, some of which were actually true.    George led a rich and rewarding life. He will be missed by all who loved him.

George is survived by his loving family: his children; George A. DePasquale, Jr. and his wife Cara, Leonora Bernstein and her husband Daniel and Matthew A. DePasquale  and his wife Heidi, and by his  seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, PA with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating.
