Obituary of William T. Rosky

William T. (Bill) Rosky , age 84 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (08/3/2018) in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Rosky was born February 21, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, PA,   the son of the late Theodore and Anna Shuki Rosky.

He was a member of St. Pius X  Roman Catholic Church and the former Transfiguration Parish where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a past member of Transfiguration Polish National Catholic Church.  Bill also  enjoyed attending the Latin Mass at Holy Family Church in Latrobe.  Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served as an MP. He was a 1952 graduate of the former Hurst High School.  Prior to his retirement, he worked at Braddock Steel and was a crane operator at Latrobe Steel for 37 years.

Bill was an avid sports fan, a golfer, gardener and shuffle board player.  He was a member of the Norvelt Senior Golf League, the Standard Shaft, Slovak and United Clubs and a past member of the Falcons Club.  He loved playing his harmonica especially at Christmas time.

Bill is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Marlene Hough (Walter) of Mt. Pleasant, his  sons;  Thomas (Kara) of Scottdale, Robert (Peggy) of Pittsburgh, William Jr. (Shelia) of Florida and Daniel & Fiancé Amber Auer of Scottdale and by his Grandchildren; Matthew, Timothy & Nicholas Hough, Nicole, Rebecca, Alex, Joelle and Andrew Rosky  and Step Grandchild, Winston Watson.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Gene (Ann) of Mt. Pleasant, Leonard (JeanAnn), Ed (Gerry) and Richard (Louise) all of Greensburg,    Eleanor (Skip) Breegle of Ohio, Lois Swiderski  (John Kopczak)  of Mt. Pleasant, and Mary Ann (Marion) Dziurzynski of Youngwood. In additon to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Martha (Walat) Rosky in 2007 and by his brother, Theodore Rosky, Jr.

Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM at the funeral home, followed by Bill's Funeral Mass at  11:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant.
