I love Mary Beth! We had such long, often deep conversations. I loved praying with her, she was so understanding and loving. And she taught me some seriously useful (easy) sewing! That was pretty much a miracle.
I remember distinctly when she told me that I was old enough to call her "Mary Beth" instead of Mrs. Hauser. As one of the youngest kids in the neighborhood, it was a rite of passage that I had long awaited. Marianne and Hazel were my growing up friends; Mary Beth blossomed as a friend in adulthood. I cherish our times at the kitchen table drinking tea.
She is loved. I'm glad she has gone home so gently.
