Obituary of Jeannie Pearl Echard

Jeannie Pearl (Menser) Echard, age 97 of Mentor, OH, formerly of Mt. Pleasant,  died Thursday (11/08/2018) in the Lake West Medical Center, Mentor, OH.

Mrs. Echard was born March 3, 1921 in Hooversville, Somerset County, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and  Jean Sharp Menser.  She was a member of the Reunion Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant. Jeannie was a 1938 graduate of Somerset High School. She had been employed for more than 30 years as Office Manager for the former Lenox Crystal and Bryce Brothers Glass companies. Along with her late husband, Chester, they owned and operated Mt. Pleasant Floral for more than 50 years.

Jeannie is survived by her loving family: her brother and sister,  Frank R. Menser, Jr. and his wife Linda of Mentor, OH and Martha Cherry of Battleground, WA, numerous nieces and nephews, and by her beloved dog Buggsy.  In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Swink Echard in 2002, and by her brothers and sisters; George, Robert, David and Neal Menser, Hazel Herwig, and Joanne Lynn.

Family and friends will be received Saturday from 11 until 12-noon at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.

Funeral Services will be held immediately following visitation in the Funeral Home Saturday     with the Rev. John R. Morrow officiating.
