Mr. Fontanazza was born September 30, 1930 in Superior, WV. He was the son of the late Sabato and Laboria Tabita Fontanazza. Marion had been employed for more than 37 years as a steel worker for US Steel, Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock. He also owned and operated the Mt. Pleasant Coal Yard until his retirement. He was also well known for his garden that was his pride and joy, sharing his bounty with his family and neighbors.
Marion is survived by his loving family: his children; Della L. Sechrist of Everson, Beverly S. Watkins and her husband Bud of Hunker and Barbara J. Proud and her husband James of Mt. Pleasant, his eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mutt was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah A. Lawson Fontanazza on Sept. 11, 2002, his sons; Paul Snyder in 2014, Marion P. Fontanazza, Jr. in 2018, and by his brothers and sister; Michael Fontanazza in 1988, Mary Lombardy in 2011, and Angelo Fontanazza in 2012.
