Obituary of Robert J. DiPaolo

Robert J. DiPaolo, age 68 of New Stanton, PA, formerly of Oakland, died Thursday (07/11/2019) in the UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. DiPaolo was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late John and  Marie McClure DiPaolo.  He attended Schenley High School. Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam Era who served in the United States Marine Corp. He had been employed as a delivery driver for the United Parcel Service for more than 35 years. Bob enjoyed playing golf, fishing, going to the casino and vacationing at  the beach  and was an avid Pens fan. He most  enjoyed family gatherings and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving family: his wife of 30 years, Mary S. Bonkovich DiPaolo,  his sons, Patrick A.(Stefanie) DiPaolo of North Huntingdon and Timothy R. (Brittany) DiPaolo of Greensburg and by his beloved grandchildren, Connor, Anthony and Isabelle DiPaolo. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; John (Debi) DiPaolo, Ronald (Brenda) DiPaolo, Susan Crissman, Marilyn (Anthony) DiPaolo, and Michelle (Scott) Calabro.

Family and friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8PM   at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.

Robert’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Youngwood, PA, with the Rev William C. McGuirk as celebrant.
