Obituary of Robert Andrew Harr

Robert Andrew Harr, age 92 of Acme, PA, died unexpectedly, Tuesday (2/25/2020) at his home. Mr. Harr was born March 30, 1927 in Donegal Township, PA, the son of the late George and Mary Tedrow Harr. He was a proud veteran of WWII who served in the United States Navy. Robert had been employed as a Machinist for the former Walworth Valve Company and then for Comptec in Irwin, from where he retired. Bob was a farmer at heart; farming was his love and his true passion. He is survived by his loving family: his devoted son, Robert A. Harr, his adoring granddaughter, Kayleen Cannon and by his beloved great grandchildren, Emily Eden and Jameson Cannon. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Irene (Chernek) Harr in September of 2019 and his brother and sister, Thomas Harr and Alice Connors. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 until 8PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Andy Scott officiating. Interment will be in the Porch Cemetery, Donegal Township.
