Obituary of Kathleen Ann Martz

Mount Pleasant, Kathleen Ann DeFlitch Martz, age 66 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Sunday (01/30/2011) in the Excela Heath- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Martz was born January 15, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Honeychuck DeFlitch. She was a member of ST Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Kathy enjoyed participating in the many activities at Ridgeview Apartments, but most enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by her loving family, her children: Daniel P. Martz of Greensburg, Robert A. Martz of Donegal, Linda E. Martz of Plum, and Maria T. Martz Allison and her husband Michael of Connellsville, and by her grandchildren; Shelby K. Martz and Katelyn and Noah Allison. Kathleen is also survived by her brothers; Christopher DeFlitch, Gerald DeFlitch and his wife Colleen all of Mt. Pleasant, and Michael DeFlitch and his wife Connie of North Huntingdon. , Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held on Friday @1:00PM in the funeral home followed by her 1:30 PM Funeral Mass at St. Pius X R C Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko, as celebrant. Private Inurnment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Twp. A Parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Thursday @3:00PM The family suggests memorials be made to St. Vincent DePaul Sociey, C/O St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant.
