Sally and family:
I am sorry for your loss. Your mother certainly lived an extraordinary life to reach the age of 105! I remember you from several parties/outings from my days at Permali from 1972 until 1983. I worked with Pat those years and respected him more than anyone else I worked with, both in Mount Pleasant and the short lived venture of the epoxy part of the business in Statesville, NC. I remember the time Pat, Permali’s rep in the South, and I almost spent the night in jail in Jackson, MS when Harriet the waitress called the police over a comment about awful waffles she made that fell off the waffle iron in pieces. I managed to save the day for us and took us all back to the hotel at two in the morning.
I was sorry to learn of Pat’s passing several months after he passed early last year. I pray the God comforts you with His peace and comfort at this time.
I loved my days at Permali and am forever thankful for the scholarship they gave me that enabled me to realize a lifelong dream of studying in a foreign country at the University of Bath in Bath, England. I could write a humorous sitcom about some of those days. I’m sure Pat could have done the same.
Again, may you feel the presence, love, peace, and comfort that only God can give at times like this.
