Obituary of Joyce E. Mowry

Mount Pleasant, Joyce E. (Knopsnider) Mowry, age 66 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (2/1/2021) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Mowry was born March 15, 1954 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late Harold and Dolores Eutsey Knopsnider. Mrs. Mowry was a member of Buchanan Church of God. She was 1972 graduate of Connellsville High School. She worked for many years at Frick Hospital in the Pediatric Unit. She enjoyed camping at Scottyland, with her family and many friends. Joyce was a gifted Crafter, operating her craft store “Joyce’s Hoops, and Ruffles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 47 years, Delbert E. Mowry. Her son: Delbert E. (Mellissa) Mowry. Her daughters: Sonya R. Mowry, Patti O’Dell, and her beloved granddaughter: Mia Mowry. Her brothers: Allen (Shirley) Knopsnider, Delbert (Sherri) Knopsnider. Her sisters: Bonnie (Marshall Wayne) Kozak, Debbie (Mark) Potosky, and her brother in law Donald Good. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Janie Knopsnider Good in 2016. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4 unitil 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Private Funeral Services will be held for her family Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Brown officiating. Private Interment will be in Eutsey Cemetery, Saltlick Twp.
