Obituary of Alice Jane Guenther

Latrobe, Alice Jane Baker Guenther, age 84 of Latrobe, PA, formerly of East Aurora, NY, died Wednesday (3/30/2011) in Green Meadows at Latrobe Assisted Living. Mrs. Guenther was born October 15, 1926 in Shippingport, PA, the daughter of the late Evan and Mary Randolph Baker. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Kenneth D. Guenther and his companion Diane Garrett of LaFayette, Colorado, and Karen Guenther Bates and her husband William of Mt. Pleasant, her grandchildren: Tracy Lynne Guenther and Daniel J. Bates, and a great granddaughter, Andrey Etta Bates. She is also survived by her extended family: Karen Mack Wojcik, Robert Wojcik and his wife Nadia and Michael Wojcik and his wife Nicole, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guenther was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy H. (Bub) Guenther, and by her brothers and sisters; Jesse, Bede, Albert, Evan, William and Carl Baker, Marcia Nyhart and Helen Gamble. Family and friends will be received Thursday April 7, 2011 at the Wood Funeral Home, 784 East Main Street, East Aurora, NY from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held in the funeral home with the Pastor Adam Jensen, officiating.
