Obituary of Lanny J. Dellgross

Lanny J. Dellgross, age 75, of Ruffsdale, PA died Saturday, August 7, 2021 in the Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Greensburg. Mr. Dellgross was born June 7, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late James F. and Beulah P. (Shawley) Dellgross. He was a member of Seven Dolors Roman Catholic Church of Yukon. Lanny served in the U S Army during the Vietnam War. He had been employed by the Elliott Company of Jeannette as a Machine Operator and retired with more than 35 years of service. Lanny is survived by his loving family: his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Kulha) Dellgross, his devoted daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Gregory of Pittsburgh, his son, Adam L. Dellgross at home and by his beloved grandson, Aidan Gregory. He is also survived by his sisters, Susie Shaffer of Champion and Barbara Sipple of Meyersdale, his sister in law: Joyce Dellgross, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lanny was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Dellgross. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 12-noon until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the Funeral Home followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church. Interment with military rites accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery.
