When i was very little I had a large crush on John Paul. He and my brother Jimmy, Tommy and Sonny Kiser were good friends and had a singing group. John Paul thrilled me by saying he would take me to the prom! My Mum made me a little prom gown.. John Paul came to our house all dressed up before collecting his real date. He brought me a corsage, told me how pretty I looked and spent a few minutes making a 4 year old happy. I felt like Cinderella! I wore the gown as a Princess costume for Halloween. Best. Date. Ever. I just saw this tonight and I’m sorry for your loss . I will never forget him. They all had great voices.. Fondly, Colleen McNeilis

I didn’t know your dad for long but I sure did love the ornery stinker ❤️ We had many memorable moments and special conversations out on his porch. On good days he would tell me of some of the amazing things that he had done and share some of his most cherished memories with me. . . And other days he would propose or we would be in Florida together! God bless your family at this time. I will always have a smile on my face when I think of John Paul ❤️

I live across the alley from John. We had some good talks when I was working in my yard at the bottom of the hill and then when he was on the scooter and I was on my porch, we would chat as well. He was a good man . My sympathy to his family
