Some of my favorite childhood mementoes where at Uncle Jimmy’s house and the restaurant. I can see him saying to me “I don’t know why I can’t lose any weight? I never eat!” As he was eating mixed nuts and a pepperoni roll. Every time we’d come visit he would sit with me in the kitchen, feed me snacks (he is why I love grits) and go through every picture and tell me the Paul family history. I remember being terrified to drive in a car with him, and listening to the oldest version of country music ever! I remember how welcoming he was all the time and just loving him. I wish there was more time to tell him all of this and that I got to say good bye properly. Love you Uncle Jimmy.
