I regret that I was unable to visit with the family or attend Jean's funeral as I have known her for many years. I first met " Mrs. Shaw" when she was the leader of our Girl Scout Troop which met at the First Ward School Building located where the Mount Pleasant Library now stands. Then I enjoyed seeing her when she worked in the MPAHS library where I taught. The next phase was the swimming lessons that she gave our children at her home.
Whenever our paths crossed her first question was "how are the kiddos?. She was always a fun and positive person and I know many people will miss her.
My sincere sympathy to her family. I know that you have many interesting memories.
